National Trust

I learnt a lot ...

This brilliant opportunity was a voluntary trip to teach some young people about traditional and digital photography. Together, we were able to educate them on traditional photography techniques, such as pinhole photography and the process of using a darkroom, as well as digital practices. It was great to see what ideas they came up with and how much they enjoyed learning about the camera-less methods of photography. The four days we had were some of the most exhausting, but I am so glad I participated in this experience. I well and truly enjoyed spending time with the kids and seeing what their imaginations could do.

National Trust was a unique offer that I was lucky enough to be accepted into. I formed relationships with people I was otherwise too withdrawn to speak to and I developed a good bond with some amazing young people. This trip gave me the confidence I needed to push myself further than I ever thought could have done and serves as a reminder to continue to do so whenever I can.

The National Trust Trip was a great opportunity to gain some confidence and be able to help young people find their creative side.
